Nice Words

Emmy was very ready for bed last night. She was bathed and pajama-ed, and we were just playing for a few minutes before bedtime rolled around. Something traumatic happened (like she slipped or was told she couldn't touch something she knows she can't touch), and she lost it.
"Buh-buh! Buh-buh!" she cried. (Although she can say 'binky', she's still hanging onto her baby word for it.)
"Just a minute. We need to say a prayer and then we can go upstairs and get it," I told her.
"No. Buh-buh!" she replied emphatically.
"Alright. Can you say 'binky please' nicely?" I asked, caving (but still making her say please, so it's not all bad, right?)
Without skipping a beat, Emmy replied,"Nicey."
We went upstairs, got her binky, and tried to stop laughing long enough to say a prayer.
